Owner of Rocky Point Kayak

Following his love of the outdoors and passion to make Port Moody a better place, Jamie opened up Rocky Point Kayak in 2001. Jamie is a Paddle Canada Certified Instructor and also owns Rocky Point Ice Cream.

Head Instructor & Shop Manager

Tobias is the teams Head Instructor! He teaches and organizes all kayak and SUP lessons while ensuring the shop runs smoothly. Tobias is a Paddle Canada Certified Kayak and SUP instructor. 

Assistant Manager & Camp Director

August is a Paddle Canada Certified Kayak instructor who has dedicated summers to teaching kids how to paddle. She organizes all camp activities and helps out with tour instruction. 

Barketing Manager

Aspen spends her days ensuring that social media websites are pupdated. In her free time, she controls our local geese population. Aspen has been working with us since she was a puppy!

Head of puplick relations

Wilson enjoys spending his days chasing away geese, answering emails, and delivering cheer to all staff and guests. When he is not at work you can find him snoozing in the sun or playing fetch!

Level 1 Kayak Instructor

Liz enjoys teaching a calming level 1 kayak class. She focuses on having students emmerse themselves in the sport of kayaking to create a positive outlet for busy lives.

SUP Yoga & Paddle Fit Instructor

Islena has introduced a love for paddling to many, including beginners who never thought they'd learn so quickly while having so much fun. She was the first instructor to introduce Paddleboard Yoga to San Francisco's South Peninsula Coastside.

Photographer

Maiya is Rocky Point Kayak's photographer. She was born and raised in Port Moody, and had her first job at Rocky Point Icecream! She is now a family/wedding photographer and when she is not exploring/photographing BC's mountains or oceans, you can find her lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons at Rocky Point Pool. Reservations Staff

Teryn helps out at the shop running our daily operations and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. She is a staple in the community through her volunteer work and plays a large role in  ensuring campers are having fun.
